Anne Jean-Charles
Compassionate, hard-working and loving are just three words used to describe a remarkable woman who deserved the best that life had to offer. Her name is Anne Marie Simone Jean-Charles. She was born to the parentage of Jean-Baptist Jean-Charles and Philomise Jean-Baptist on January 12, 1936 in Leogane, Haiti. This kind hearted woman was the eldest of 12 (twelve) siblings and was a role model to all. She loved her family and her family loved her in return.
The Lord blessed Anne Marie Simone with one beautiful daughter named Magalie. She was a dedicated mother that wanted the best life she could provide for her family. When the opportunity presented itself she made the U.S. their permanent home in 1975, Anne Marie Simone was employed by Winn-Dixie for several years and was a hard working and reliable employee. While living in Pompano Beach, Florida she was a faithful member of Bethel A.M.E. Church for over 20 (twenty) years.
When Anne Marie Simone became a grandmother she knew that she had a new role and responsibility to fulfill. She planned to give her grandchildren the best gift that she could possibility to give to them and that was Jesus Christ. Her grandchildren Lotus, Vanessa and Simone were instructed through the word of God by attending Bethel with her. She had a profound effect on her grandchildren. Anne Marie Simone was full of love and gave her time, support and encouragement to everyone who was around her. She was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. Anyone who became acquainted with her quickly realized that she had a good heart and a wonderful spirit.
On Thursday, October 5, 2006 after ten years of suffering, Anne was released from her pain. She entered into paradise to fulfill her role as one of God’s angels. We know that she is gone in the flesh, but she will always be in our hearts. Her kindness is irreplaceable. Until we meet again we know that she will be watching over us.
