Adeline Gédéon Cassy was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Jean Bernadel Gédéon and Anne Gracieuse Pétion on December 12, 1933 in St. Louis-du-Nord, Haiti. In 1939 – 1945 Adeline lived in St. Louis-du-Nord to complete her primary schooling at Sisters of Sagesse. From 1946-1952 she continued on to complete her secondary schooling at Sisters Externa in Port-au-Prince. She also attended Sisters Elie Dubois from 1952-1956 in Port-au-Prince. The years of 1959-1962 she was a Typing Specialist. In May 1970 Adeline completed her studies at the University of New York in Administration. At a young age she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. In 1999 she migrated to the United States in search of a better life.
As a loving and caring woman, Adeline pledged her love unconditionally to her husband, Max Cassy January 8, 1966. Even though the Lord did not bless them with children of there own, they were blessed with the patience to become a foster parents of five children. She will remember her as the devoted wife, Christian and friend that she was.
Adeline’s love and devotion flowed from her heart to her family and then her community. As a faithful servant of the Lord, she was a member of New Testament Ministries. She will never be forgotten. She was blessed with the gift of speaking comfort into the lives of everyone she knew, no matter where you were.
