I have fought a good, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
2 Timothy 4: 7-8
Yvon Ramses Desrosiers was born to the parentage of Mr. Charles Desrosiers and Mariane Jean-Conte on May 30, 1962 in Cap-Haitien, Haiti. Yvon completed his primary schooling in Haiti. In his teenage years he migrated to Boston, MA to join his parents. In high school, he quickly learned English and other subjects and above all showed keen interest in computers. His love of computers would take him to college where he would make a career out of it.
Yvon met his ex-wife in high school and have three (3) beautiful children: Jason, Sasha and Cassandra. As a loving and caring man, He pledged his love unconditionally to the love of his life, Jamie Hannifan until his homegoing. Yvon was a hard working father who strived to succeed and who cared deeply for all of his children. He was employed as a computer specialist for many years. He loved his family and his family loved and cherished him in return. He instilled the highest level of morals and values into his children who will undoubtedly pass on the same teachings to their children as part of his legacy.
Yvon was in sort a prodigal son always away. His parents requested for him to live closer to home and he quickly complied. His phone conversations always ended with “Mom, I miss and love you.” Three weeks ago, this wish came true. Since his return home, he had plans to secure employment and reunite with family members who he clearly missed but, those plans suddenly came to a hault.
Yvons’ love and devotion flowed from his heart to his family and then his community. He had a giving heart. Anyone who became acquainted with him quickly realized that he had a good heart and a wonderful spirit. He was a visionary and knew what he wanted in his passing: a gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life. We ask that the essence of his wishes be captured in this service. Peace be with him.
On Wednesday, December 13, 2006, Yvon Ramses Derosiers entered into paradise. We know that he is gone in the flesh but he will always be in our hearts. His kindness can never be replaced. Servant of God well done, rest from thy love employ, the battles’ fought, the victory won enter Thy Master’s joy.
