Birth
Compassionate, hard-working and loving are just three words used to describe a remarkable man who deserved the best that life had to offer. His name is Elois Joseph. He was born on October 30, 1936, the first son and second child of Eloge and Anita Thermidor.
Life
He completed his primary education in Port-de-Paix, Haiti and continued his secondary education in Gonaives, Haiti. When the opportunity presented itself the Lord guided Elois to the United States and made it his permanent home in 1980.
Family
As a loving and caring man, Elois pledged his love unconditionally in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Marie Carmelle Joseph. The Lord blessed Elois Joseph with 8 (eight) beautiful children: Armide, Marie-Alix, Feller, Edwin, Smith, Patrick, Jean Eloi and Bernard Joseph, 2 (two) step-children: Gina Brosius and Margarette Jean-Baptiste, 9 (nine) grandchildren and 1 (one) great grandchild. He worked hard for his children’s education, instilled the highest level of morals and values into his children who will undoubtedly pass on the same teachings to their children as part of his legacy. He was a dedicated father, grandfather and great grandfather that wanted the best life he could provide have for his family. He loved his family and his family loved him in return.
When Elois became a father he knew that he had a new role and responsibility to fulfill. He planned to give his children the best gift that he could possibility to give to them and that was Jesus Christ. His children were instructed through the word of God. Elois was full of love and gave his time, support and encouragement to everyone who was around him. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Anyone who became acquainted with him quickly realized that he had a good heart and a wonderful spirit.
A Time to Worship
As a faithful servant of the Lord, he loved to talk about Christ and share words of encouragement with everyone his life touched. In addition, he was a member of Bethel Baptiste Church were he proudly drove the church bus. Elois enjoyed attending church and spending time with her family and friends.
A Time to Mourn
On Sunday, December 24, 2006, Elois Joseph was released into the hands of Jesus Christ. He entered into paradise to fulfill his role as one of God’s angels. We know that he is gone in the flesh, but he will always be in our hearts. His kindness is irreplaceable. Until we meet again we know that he will be watching over us. Family, it is alright to cry but know one thing: Elois knew God and he had already made plans as to where he would spend eternity. A child of God has gone to be in paradise.
He leaves to cherish special memories:
