Maryse Doirin Theodore

1961-03-21 - 2007-01-13

Golden Book

"Let not our hearts be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: If it were so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also". John 14: 1-4

Maryse Doirin Theodore was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Dieudonne Doirin and Anne Pierre on March 21, 1961 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. “Ma Ma”, as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, completed her primary and secondary schooling in Haiti. . In 1992, a new life began as our Heavenly Father guided Maryse into making the United States of America her permanent home.
As a loving and caring woman, Maryse pledged her love unconditionally in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Jerson Theodore, in 1989. The Lord blessed their union with 2 (two) handsome sons: Jephte and Jonathan. She loved her family and her family loved and cherished her in return. She instilled the highest level of morals and values into her children who will undoubtedly pass on the same teachings to their children as part of her legacy. She made sure her children knew God first, their Haitian culture and the will to serve. They will always remember her as the devoted wife and mother that she was. A very conservative, calm and humble person, Maryse was the prototype of a good spouse and mother. During her years of marriage her main orientation lay in the nurturing of her family and the passing on of life enriching values and principles.
Maryse’s love and devotion flowed from her heart to her family and then her community. She was a caretaker for all. She had a giving heart. As a faithful servant of the Lord, she loved to talk about Christ and share words of encouragement with everyone her life touched. In addition, she was a faithful and active member of Fraternity Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Wismy Athouriste. Maryse enjoyed attending church and spending time with her family and friends. Anyone who became acquainted with her quickly realized that she had a good heart and a wonderful spirit. She was filled with a deep love for God, immeasurable loyalty, steadfast beliefs, and an undying love for her family.
Maryse was a true woman of God. A woman of love. A woman of inner peace. She was a beautiful person always displaying a big smile and harboring a heart of gold for the special prayer group ministry that she was actively involved with called “Groupe Jesus Miracle.” Her love for Christ and dedication to the Church alone was a model for all of us. She leaves behind a legacy of greatness that must have no ending. We must continue what she has started here in this life. She will never be forgotten. She will be remembered for all her kind ways towards everyone.
As for Maryse, she has just embarked on a new journey. Although we cannot see her, we know that she is gone, for God has promised us a home throughout all eternity where life and love continue far beyond what we can see.

On Saturday, January 13, 2007, Maryse entered into heaven. We know that she is gone in the flesh but she will always be in our hearts. Her singing will always ring out in our hearts forever. Her kindness can never be replaced. Servant of God well done, rest from thy love employ, the battle’s fought, the victory won enter Thy Master’s joy.

“Sleep on Mom and take your rest. We loved you and will always love you dearly but GOD loved you best.”
