On this journey called life our spirit dwells in a temporary vessel until our Lord Jesus Christ calls us home. Lucilia Michel began this journey on December 9, 1926 and this journey came to an end on September 24, 2006 as she went on to glory at the age of 79. She was born in Saint Michel De l'Atalaye, Haiti to Mileus Michel (father whom is deceased) and Francinette Desir (mother whom is deceased). Ms.Lucilia Michel attended grade school in Port Au Prince and later relocated to Cap Haitian during her teenage years. God would later bless her to birth a total of seven children which includes five daughters and two sons. As a loving mother she labored to support her children owning a restaurant in Cap Haitian. At the age of 32 she accepted Christ as her personal savior and diligently served as a missionary worker. Ms. Lucilia Michel traveled to local hospitals and psychiatric facilities exemplifying the love of Christ by grooming patients and offering the gospel through song and prayer to the afflicted. In the year of 1995 she moved to South Florida where she would reside permanently. God granted her grace and mercy allowing her to witness three generations flourish. She was ill and suffered over 20 years yet she found courage and strength through the Lord and loved ones as well.
She leaves to cherish special memories:

Personal Testimony of Lucilia Michel
"I was ill and my condition began to turn for the worse. My eyes began to close as my spirit began to travel. I could see the rewards of heaven and eternal life through Jesus. My heart rejoiced as I received confirmation this would be my final destination. However, I was awakened by the sound of my daughter's voice and when I opened my eyes I realized I was still alive and my journey was not complete. Through this experience I knew that when this body perished my final wish would be that my family celebrate my life. I requested that the family wear white as a symbol of a life that was lived without spot or blemish because I accepted Christ and his precious blood that was shed on Calvary cleansed me white as snow. I love the color pink and expressed that this would be the color I desire to grace my body for it represents to me the beautiful character that defines who I am and what I accomplished. I knew that I would leave many to grieve yet with a calm assurance that the weeping would only endure for a short while for I know for fact through this experience my name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life."
I’m going on to eternal glory. My life is done and I have victory. My journey has come to a final end. Eternal life I shall now begin. I leave you my memories and love to share. My spirit shall live on no more suffering or despair. I know now the story that is always told of Heaven's pearly gates and streets of gold. My reward in Heaven through my service to Christ was received as my name has been found in the "Book of Life"
