Lucien Mervilus Obituary

Jean Lucien Mervilus, was born September 22nd, 1924 in Leogane, Port Au Prince, Haiti, to Mother, Cherisna Jolicoeurand father, Casseuse Mervilus. Jean Lucien attended the Town School in Leogne.

He was joined in holy matrimony with Genese Turnier Mervilusfor 46 years who preceded in death in 2006. They had 1 child together and 4 other children.

Jean Lucien was employed as a chauffeur since he was 20 years old and continued the job, he loved for 50 years before retiring and moving to New York in 1990 and eventually completing his retirement in Florida in 2000.

Jean Lucien’s favorite hobbies included playing dominos and spending time with his grand and great grand kids. Known to all as “grandpa,” he was full of life and had many stories that he shared with great humor and love.

Jean Lucien accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 2016 and was baptized in Christ in 2017. He served his church in love and enjoyed spending time with them.

Jean Lucien departed this life Sunday, February 17th, 2019 peacefully at rest in his home surrounded by his family.

He leaves to cherish his memories: 

His Daughter: Wilhelmine Mervilus-Etienne and her husband, Charles Etienne 

His Sons: Mario Boyer and his wife, Nirve R. Boyer-Jaques; Lesly Boyer and his wife,

Hannie G Boyer

His Grandchildren: Wilene, Nathalie, Jenny, Charlemine, Bianca and Charles Jr.; Felissah and Keihar; Marie Danielle, Francois, Doryan and Aulie

His 14 Loving Great-grandchildren

His Nieces: Marie Rose Mervilus and Margreth Mervilus

His Nephew: Pierre Mervilus, and many other nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends affected by this loss.
