Luckner Dieujuste

Luckner Dieujuste was born on January 15, 1990 in the region of Artibonite, Haiti called Rossignol and  was the older son in his family. At the age of 9 years old, Luckner moved to Gonaives, Haiti and left    behind his parents to join his favorite uncle, Deceres and aunt, Choune Dieujuste. He spent his childhood years in Gonaives where he attended school, and made some friends. Luckner completed his    primary, secondary education, as well as  high school and graduated from Eben-Ezer College in Gonaives, Haiti. He then attended        Gonaives’  community college and studied Economics Sciences.

Was Luckner a believer? He was a christian, baptized and attended the Baptist Church of Bigot, Gonaives, Haiti.

On May 13, 2017, he relocated to the United-States joining his father, his younger sister and there a new life started. He enrolled at ITech of Immokalee and completed his English classes there.

Luckner wasn’t a genius, but he was smart enough to cope with all his trials. He wasn’t a soccer player, but he spent most of his free time watching and making critical comments about the teams.

Similarly, he was willing to cook, do the laundry, and even clean the entire house.

Did Luckner have an agenda? Of course, he did. His dreams were to become a medical assistant and finally buy a house for his father. But unfortunately, life didn’t give him that chance.

And just because he was so discreet and shy, no one knew if he had a girlfriend or not.  Luckner was a charming, friendly, serious and generous person.

He is gone now but not forgotten!

Rest in peace and know that we’ll see you again.
