Marie Louis

Marie Michelle Louis, affectionately known as Poupette was born to Kernst Louis and Marie Josette Aubourg on May 12th 1970 in Port Au Prince, Haiti. In her early twenty's, she gave birth to her son Emmanuel. Nine years later, she gave birth to her second son Josue. She loved her sons and always wanted to make sure that they ha the best life. Marie Michelle later relocated the United-States with her children and resided in Miami, Florida.

From birth, Marie Michelle was diagnosed with sickle cell, making life difficult for her to live comfortably. Despite her condition, Marie Michelle didn't allow this disease to bring her down. She fought hard to give her sons the best life possible; she was a hard worker and loved effortlessly. As a single mother, she worked at a nursing home, baby sat children, and was also a seamstress.

Marie Michelle lost her first son, Emmanuel, to Meningitis. Following her devastating loss, Marie Michelle decided to leave Miami and relocated to Sarasota, FL where her siblings, Kernst and Dominique, reside. Marie Michelle attended Sarasota Gospel Temple under the leadership of Pastor Edwige Achile. In 2018, Marie Michelle was able to purchase her first home where she lived with her son Josue.

Marie Michelle never complained of how her illness made her feel. She would instead give credit to the almighty God saying "Se gras bondye mwen la toujou" or "Bondye pa jam kitem sel." With a spirit of a fighter and her unwavering faith, Marie Michelle fought her disease until she took her final breathe.

The memory of Marie Michelle, our Poupette, will always remain in our hearts. To her dearest son Josue....Your mother sincerely loved you unconditionally. Remember that she wants you to be successful in life. She always wanted the best for you.

On Thursday, February 14, 2019 Marie Michelle Louis was called Home to be with the Lord.
