Mecene Pierre-Val Obituary

Mecene was born on June 8th, 1961 to the late Charles Pierre-Val and Micheline Charles in Labelle, Haiti. He has been on his life journey with his wife Maricia Pierre-Val for 32 years and they have been married for 30 of those years. Mecene worked as a gardener and carpenter in Haiti and immigrated to the US with his family on April 19th, 1994. Mecene enjoyed working as a landscaper and had a passion for farming and gardening. He also worked at PF Chang’s for almost 20 years and created strong bonds with his work family there. He devoted his life to the Lord in 1998 at First Baptist Church of Central Florida and was an active christian in the community. Mecene went to church every Sunday and was a part of numerous activities in the church. He faithfully served at First Haitian Free Church of Nazarene where he enjoyed playing music and enjoyed doing landscaping for the church. Mecene was a devoted husband and father; 6 children and 5 grandchildren whom he loved dearly. From an early age, Mecene taught his children the meaning of hard work and education. He was an avid believer of education and pursuing your dreams. He always encouraged his children to go to college and live an abundant life. He made sure his wife was protected, loved and always wanted to provide the best for her.

In March 2018, Mecene fell ill and despite his prognosis he was full of life and his faith never wavered. He began treatment in Orlando, FL and Atlanta, GA, until he was no longer able to travel in December 2018.

Mecene was the epitome of a God-fearing man and his faith in God was bigger than his disease. His children, wife, brother, and family did everything possible to help him fight this illness.

Mecene Pierre-Val fought until the very end, but on February 15, 2019

God called him Home.
