Adeline Lamothe

Adeline was born on March 10, 1943, in La Vallee de Jacmel, Legitimate daughter of Angelina Mathieu and Dumont Lamothe. Adeline spent her younger years in La Vallee with her mother. At the tender age of 10, she left Jacmel to port au prince to live with her Uncle Marcel Ridore. In 1961, she met the love of her life and three years later they had their first child Nadine and three more daughters, Esther, Yamilee and Fabiola. Fritz was a musician and 1973, he left Haiti when their youngest daughter Fabiola was only a few months old. Adeline was only 30 years old when her husband left for the USA, she worked as a seamstress and travel to saint Domingue to buy and sell goods to provide an education for her four daughters. In 1984 Nadine and Fabiola left for the states and a year later 1985 Esther and Yamilee reunited with their siblings in Brooklyn New York.

In 1992, Nadine sent for her mother and Adeline was reunited with her daughters. Adeline lived in New York for many years. In 1993, Eric was born and Adeline helped raise him and the two were inseparable. Adeline loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren, she split her time between the girls spending holidays, birthdays and every summer vacation with her daughters. In 2003, she left New York to spend time with her daughters in Orlando and Miami Florida. Adeline had a sense of humor; she loves the lord and was an avid church goer. One of her hobbies was crossword puzzle, she loves to iron, enjoy watching Haitian new, specifically fouco and listening to her favorite artist Julio Iglesias. In March of 2026, she was diagnosed with cancer. On August 20th at the age of 83, she took her last breath in Baptist Hospital in Miami Florida. Adeline left behind her four daughters Nadine, Esther, Yamilee and Fabiola, 9 grand and 8 great grandchildren. Adeline was a servant of the lord, her children will miss her

beautiful smile, her courageous and strong nature. May she rest in eternal peace until our Lord returns.
