Caitlynn Sanaa Pierre, a remarkable young visionary, entrepreneur, and cultural ambassador, was born on November 4, 2006, in Boca Raton, Florida, to devoted Haitian parents. Her life came to an untimely end on December 8th, in Orlando, Florida. Though her years were few, her impact was profound and enduring.
From an early age, Caitlynn distinguished herself through extraordinary ambition, creativity, and purpose. At just eight years old, in August 2015, she founded Haïtea, a pioneering brand devoted to sharing Haitian culture with the world through tea. What began as a childhood vision grew into a meaningful enterprise rooted in heritage, empowerment, and global connection. Caitlynn led Haïtea with passion and determination, using her platform to uplift Haitian women farmers, whose work formed the backbone of her brand. Cultural pride, service, and social impact were central to her mission.
Caitlynn was equally dedicated to academic excellence. She was an honor student with aspirations of becoming a nurse practitioner, driven by a deep commitment to healthcare and service to others. Beginning in her junior year of high school, she enrolled in both Advanced Placement courses and a dual enrollment program, demonstrating exceptional discipline and intellectual curiosity as she prepared for her future career.
Her talents extended well beyond the classroom and the business world. Caitlynn had a lifelong love for the arts and music, actively participating in band and color guard at her academic institution. Her artistic gifts were evident from a young age, when her abstract artwork earned first prize in her category during a countywide art competition in Broward County while she was still in first grade. This early recognition ignited a passion for creative expression that she continued to cultivate throughout her life.
Caitlynn’s achievements garnered widespread recognition. Her work with Haïtea was acknowledged by prestigious magazines, major social platforms, and the World Tea Expo. Despite her success, she remained grounded, purpose driven, and committed to using her voice to make a difference.
In March 2025, following a cancer diagnosis, Caitlynn once again transformed adversity into action by founding NoKanksCancer.org, an organization dedicated to supporting young adults battling cancer through faith, and raising awareness. Even in the face of illness, her resolve to help others never wavered.
Caitlynn Sanaa Pierre leaves behind a powerful legacy of courage, innovation, compassion, and cultural pride. She was a shining example of youthful ingenuity and a powerful reminder that age is no barrier to impact. Her life, though tragically short, was rich with purpose and continues to inspire all who knew her story as a “Daughter from the kingdom of Light”.
Her light, vision, and unwavering faith will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives she beautifully touched during her life.
