Daphney Larose

In the fall of 1988 on November 8 th , Daphney Larose entered the world as a bright light to her parents, Mimose Larose and Yves Dessources. From an early age, despite being diagnosed with diabetes, asthma, and anemia, Daphney’s vibrant spirit could never be dimmed. She lit up every room she walked into, captivating those around her with a commanding presence, ability to maestro intellectual coversations, and a singing voice so powerful and pure it seemed to draw the attention of angels.

As the eldest daughter and second eldest among her siblings, Daphney naturally stepped into a role of leadership and nurturing. She was not only a sister but often a guiding force and a second mother. Later in life, she embraced motherhood herself, raising four beloved children—Zaire, Rah’Jay, Rashawn, and Lania—during a 16-year relationship with Roger Nader. Her love as a mother was patient, profound, and unwavering, but her maternal spirit extended far beyond her own children.

After graduating high school, Daphney pursued studies in early childhood education and development. She believed education was more than just teaching ABCs and 123s—it was about nurturing whole human beings. Her work and passion focused on instilling emotional intelligence, self-awareness, respect, confidence, and positive behavioral habits in children. She was a firm believer in teaching kids how to understand and express their emotions, always planting seeds of self-love and personal growth.

Daphney was adventurous and fun-loving, always ready to escape the routine of everyday life. Whether it was through Caribbean getaways, cruises, or culinary explorations, she found joy in new experiences and delighted in good food and laughter. She shared daily conversations and countless laughs with her best friend and mother, Mimose—a testament to their unbreakable bond.

Her home and heart were open to all. She was a listening ear, a keeper of secrets, and a shoulder to lean on for many. Though small in stature at just 4 feet 11 inches, Daphney was a giant in presence, heart, and soul.

Daphney’s legacy is one of compassion, strength, and radiant love. She leaves behind a tapestry of memories and lessons that will echo through generations. She may no longer walk beside us, but her spirit continues to dwell in our hearts.

May Daphney rest in the everlasting favor of God and the peace of heaven above—until the day we meet again at the gates of His glorious kingdom, greeted with her warm smile and open arms.

Forever loved. Never forgotten.
