Evans Jean-Baptiste Mondesir was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on June 24,1955. He was the last son of 8 children. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. During his 20s he worked as an accountant. As he got older he knew a better life for his family had to start with a journey to a new place. He eventually left Haiti and moved to the United States of America. He first arrived in New York, where he found brotherhood as a free mason. While living in the northeast, he made plans to arrange his siblings and mother to enter the U.S.
At some point along the way he met his soon to be wife, Marie Elourde Fadael, in New Jersey, whom he later would marry and have 3 children with. They lived and raised their children in New Jersey until 2004, when they decided to move the family to Orlando, Florida, which would later become his final resting place in the very home he built with his wife.
He had a love for nature and grew his own garden that featured fruits, vegetables, herbs/plants. He worked a variety of jobs including taxi driver, nursing assistant, cook, warehouse, custodial, and his passion, landscaping. He had pride for his business, Barnabas Landscaping, to which he would gain clientele and put his passion to work.
