Gizèle Merçant

Gizele Merçant, affectionately known as Manmie Gizèle, was born on June 29, 1953. She grew up in Julie, Jérémie Haiti ,beginning her studies under the Sisters of Moron before pursuing a successful career in haute couture in Port-au-Prince.

Manmie Gizèle was a cherished member of Bellevue Salem Baptist Church, where she was actively involved in community service. Her entrepreneurial spirit led to a thriving business, eventually leading her to the United States. Despite challenges, she remained a pillar of strength. She will always be remembered for her generosity and unwavering support.

Gizele Meçant passed away on April 27, 2024 at the age of 71. She transitioned peacefully surrounded by her devoted daughter, Luce Kettia Merçant, and granddaughter Luceyana Merçant. She leaves behind legacy of charisma, loyalty, and resilience, deeply impacting her family and community.
