Innocent Olibrice, also affectionately remembered as “Shorti” to those closest to him, was born in Montegue, Haiti on the 28th of March 1938, to his late father Mitius Olibrice, and mother Doizilia Diozier. He was married to Vicira Montrevil and had three children—two sons and one daughter. After the sudden loss of his wife and having overcome a severe illness, he journeyed to Nassau, Bahamas for opportunities to provide for his children. Later, he came to Miami, Florida, and succeeded in migrating his three children from Haiti to be with him. When job opportunities were lacking for him in Miami, in 1989 he moved to Orlando, FL. Innocent raised his children and then retired. He married his second wife in 2004, Solange C.Olibrice, who has since passed away.
He is survived by:
His eldest son Ismael (Smith) and his wife Djenny Olibrice; his second son Ecclesiaste and his wife Keren Olibrice, his daughter Inocia and her husband Derrick Johnson.
His grandchildren: Anayah Olibrice, Aneesha Olibrice, Nathan Olibrice, Amari Olibrice, Sarayah Olibrice, Kyanna Johnson, Kierra Johnson, and Darrius Johnson.
His brother: Cedieu Olibrice
His sisters and their spouses: Micheline and Louima Desir, Medalicia Olibrice, and widowed sister-in-law Ann C. Olibrice.
Innocent was blessed with countless friends, nephews, nieces, cousins & their immediate families.
