Jeanne Rosemina Geneus

Jeanne Rosemina Geneus was born on May 20, 1954, in Tiboukan, Léogâne, Haiti, to her late parents, Luade Rocher and Lenord Luma. She leaves behind eight siblings. Samuel, Robert, Elena, Edner, Rosette, Elvie, Cenord, and Maggie Luma. 

She later married Legrand Geneus, and together they raised three children: Genuel, Benjamin, and Felisha Geneus. She also adored her granddaughter, Sophia Geneus.

In 1982, Jeanne Rosemina immigrated to Brooklyn, New York, seeking a better life and greater opportunities for her family. She became a devoted member of Calvaire Baptist Church. A woman of deep faith, she worked tirelessly and placed a strong emphasis on her children’s education.

In 1993, she relocated to Orlando, Florida, where she later joined the Church of God by Faith of Orlando, Inc. Jeanne was never content to simply attend. She was always present, always engaged, and always offering her hands in service. Her passion for serving God and her commitment to her work were the hallmarks of her life. Since 1994, she faithfully worked at the Rosen Hotel, demonstrating loyalty, reliability, and an unwavering work ethic.

Although Jeanne Rosemina endured many health challenges, she remained strong in her faith until she was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, a strict yet caring woman, and someone who always extended a helping hand to others. Her legacy lives on through her children and all those whose lives she touched. She was a woman of character and dignity, courageous, nurturing, supportive, dependable, and strong. We will miss her dearly.

This is not goodbye, for your love and spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Until we meet again, rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
