Julienne Alexis

Julienne Alexis was born on April 24, 1941 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to the parentage of the late Francin and Carmelite. Julienne completed her years of studies at the age of 18. She then went to school for culinary and seamstress. She spent most of her time baking, cooking and enjoying sewing dresses for her children, including clients. She was also very much involved in the church at a very early age. Singing was her passion. Later on, she married a minister and gave birth to seven beautiful children. Embarking on her life journey, she and her husband left Haiti on a missionary duty where they resided until her death. This coming December would have been their 50th wedding anniversary. During her life in the U.S., she never lost her focus as a Christian woman, a wife and a mother. She had overcome many obstacles in her new life here in the United States. Through it all, she became stronger in her faith as a wife and a mother. The fact remained her kindness and selflessness were her greatest strength, which enabled her to overcome all of her obstacles. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carmelite Pierre, her father, Francin Augustin and adopted father, Hercule Benjamin.
