Louis Jean completed his studies at the age of 18 and went on to become a home builder. He was an avid soccer player and fan, being part of ISM TEAM in Magazin Haiti, and also a longtime fan of Team Brazil from a young age. He loved music, with artists such as Ti Mano, Azor and Remy Lochard amongst his favorites. He loved parties, dancing and being the center of attention. He also loved to cook and was considered a renowned chef by any who tasted his cooking. Louis Jean loved to swim, often comparing himself to a fish. In fact, he was part of the rescue effort of 1997 during the tragic boating accident in Lagonave. In 2000, Louis Jean moved to the U.S. where he worked as a cook. He was truly a generous man who often gave his last dollar to anyone in need. His door was always open to anyone who needed a place to sleep. Louis Jean loved to tell jokes, often times finding humor in his kids and others cooking. In his eyes, no one compared to his cooking. He cared and provided for his family and friends, especially his 1st grandchild, Hervin Louis Pascal. Louis Jean truly touched many lives and was loved by all who knew him. On Saturday November 12, 2016, Louis Jean was called Home to be with the Lord. He may be gone to a better place, but he will remain in our hearts.
