Manose Meristin was born on March 1, 1971 in La Gonave, Haiti, the third eldest of ten children born to her parents, the late Ymadonne Meristin Momplaisir and Bonnet Momplaisir. She was a gentle spirit, who had a huge heart, great sense of humor, unapologetically honest and lived life on her own terms.
She immigrated to the United States in 1993 and successfully earned her high school diploma from Lake Placid High School. Manose was very intelligent, ambitious and soon discovered her passion to help others; she relocated to Orlando and became a licensed Nursing Assistant.
Her zeal for life was infectious and left an impression with everyone she came in contact with; from her corny jokes that never landed, to her delicious home cooked meals, and desire to style hair, she was truly selfless and memorable.
Manose was a faithful Christian, who was baptized at First Baptist Church of Avon Park and later became a dedicated member of the Second Haitian Nazarene Church 1996. She was devoted to her faith, family and friends.
Manose was preceded in death by her mom and two siblings, and leaves to mourn: her father Bonnet Momplaisir and seven siblings (Louisner, Luneze, Rubin, Yvania, Bona, Bonite, Dieudonné), nieces and nephews (Kethia, Shilou, Louisner Jr., Loudy, Zachary, Daphney, Logens, Vladimir, Valmir, Jeremiah, Carl Lauritson, Rodney Jodanie, Saniyah, Kenneth, Justin Jr., Madison, Jusiah, Bel, Mickelson, and Jessie) and many loving relatives and friends.
While Manose was not triumphant in her battle with mental illness, she remained strong in her faith in God. As a Christian, she remained steadfast to God’s promise in John 14 that “I go to prepare a place for you…I will come again and receive you to Myself; that were I am, there you may be also.”
