Edith was born on April 25, 1949, in Leogane, Haiti, to Seneque and Alipsie, the third of their nine children. She spent part of her youth in Haiti's capital with her Godparents, attending school and church, before emigrating to the U.S. in 1980, first residing in Miami. She later moved to New Orleans, where she married her late husband, Edner Brisson, in August 1984. Eventually, she settled in Orlando to be closer to family.
Edith dedicated her career to housekeeping, ensuring every guest had a wonderful experience. She lived a modest life, always willing to assist family members and serve her church community. She retired in 2015 after a long and fulfilling career.
Edith was known for her radiant smile and exceptional organizational skills. She cherished peaceful environments and always made an effort to connect with friends and family.
In April 2025, Edith became ill and faced significant challenges after heart surgery, including mobility difficulties and struggles with ingesting food. Despite these immense difficulties, she remained incredibly strong and determined to fight until her last breath.
As we mourn her loss, we remember her unwavering faith and strength. "God gives and God takes," so let us stay strong and keep the faith, just as Edith did.
