Marie Iselia Durosier

December 29, 1931 — August 25, 2019

Marie Iselia Durosier

If it is in this life alone that we hope in Christ, we are the most unhappy of all men. Sister Marie Iselia Durosier was born on December 29, 1931 in St. Louis-du-Nord, Haiti by the parentage of the late Mr. Perole Durosier and Cecile Dieujuste. Marie Iselia Durosier, a fervent believer, shared her faith in Jesus Christ and always had a word of encouragement for those who had rubbed shoulders with her. Marie was very proud to be a Christian and always spoke of her Personal Savior.

In her younger age she met and married the love of her life, the late Forian Simon. The Lord blessed their union with ten children (5 preceded her in death). In the year of the Lord 2011, Marie left her native country to come to the United States of America to live with her daughter, Yvonne Louis and her Christian Family- Grace Tabernacle of  Praise Church (GTOP)until her death.

Upon her arrival in Orlando, Marie became part of the founding members of the great GTOP - Church of the Nazarene. She was always punctual in all church activities and reunions. She loved to share the Gospel with others, she was always smiling with everyone, she loved to sing the Glory of God and she loved to testify her Savior wherever she went.

Indeed, during these days, these months and these years, we have always found in Marie a brave servant of God, in the afflictions of life and devout in the service of the Lord.

Marie I. Durosier, during her life on earth, received the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. Confessing her faith in the water of baptism, she became a member of the Church of the Living God.

On Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 1: 09 pm at Health Central Hospita in Orlando, Florida, at the age of 88, Marie departed from this world. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and greatness. Truly she was a great woman and will be missed by so many. It was an honor to have known who she was, is in our hearts and always will be.

Indeed, we can honestly say wholeheartedly we have lost acourageous Mother, Grand Mother, Great Grand Mother & Great Great Grand Mother who has gone in our midst and this emptiness that she has left behind. God alone can fill the hearts of her children and all the family of God. We repeat after Paul in 2Timothy 4:7-8: I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge,  shall give me at that day: and not to me only,  but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Peace to Her Soul
