Raymonde was born In Petion-Ville, Haiti on January 23, 1927 to Ducasse Baptiste and Felicia Julien Laguerre. She attended Anne Marie Javouhey, an all girl school in Petion-Ville, and later on, Institution Elie Dubois.
Raymonde started working at an early age as a teacher, a seamstress and a beautician. She started her own business selling grocery products, apparels and fabrics. She was a devoted mother who worked very hard to provide for her children. She was a fervent servant of the Lord, and taught her children the same.
In 1976, she left her mother land to settle in the United States. Her commitment to support her family never cease, as she worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant until her retirement. She gave her family the best of herself; she was fearless.
Raymonde was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was funny, and her laughter was contagious. She was the definition of elegance and carried herself with class. She will be sorely missed.
Raymonde is survived by her children, March Harry Baptiste, Robert Baptiste, Chantal Telfort, Ralph Baptiste, her daughter-in-law, Jocelyne Baptiste (Sanon), her son-in-law, Larousse Telfort, her grandchildren, Dimitri Baptiste, Tatiana Thony(Baptiste), Youri Patrice Baptiste, Keshia Desrosier, LatrisseChandy Telfort, Lawrence Christopher Telfort, RaphaellaBaptiste, her great-grandchildren, Marc Luigi Baptiste, Randolph Emmanuel Thony, Kendrick Samuel Thony, King Nunez, her sister, Marie Therese Gordon, her nieces, KerlineGordon, Marjorie Damas, Anne Marie Colas, Mireille Baptiste, Florence Peterburs, Gislaine Cadet and her husband Dr. Jean Evans Cadet.
