Michelet Auguste was born on December 22, 1946, in La Tortue, Haiti, to his loving parents Augustin Auguste and Julia Garcon. As a young man, Michelet journeyed to the United States with determination in his heart and a vision for a better life. He brought with him a deep love for the sea and a pioneering spirit that led him to own and captain his own ship. A lasting symbol of the independence and strength that defined his life. His passion for fishing remained a constant joy, whether spent alone or shared with loved ones; the water was his sanctuary.Michelet also made his mark as a talented chef at the renowned Fontainebleau Hotel, where his culinary expertise and warm presence left an indelible impression on colleagues and guests alike. A man of many gifts, he spoke multiple languages and could strike up meaningful conversations with anyone he met. His easy, welcoming charm drew people in, whether he was sharing stories or listening with genuine interest.Above all, Michelet was a devoted family man. He cherished his large, blended, and loving family; finding his greatest happiness in the presence of his grandchildren. His eyes would light up whenever they were near, and his love for them was immeasurable.
