Michelle Verite was born on November 12, 1952 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and departed this life on July 02, 2026 at the age of 73.
Michelle was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family, always placing their needs before her own. Her warm smile, compassionate heart, and generous spirit made everyone around her feel welcomed and loved.
She worked as a judicial immigration officer for Homeland Security. After retirement, she opened her own office called Immigration Consultants. She was also in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to help orchestrate and assist with the crisis, where she was known for her dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic. Beyond her career, Michelle found joy in cooking, traveling, Kompa music, her grandchildren, talking to her friends, and helping people with their immigration needs. She helped many people during hardships in the USA. These passions reflected the warmth and love she shared with others.
Michelle’s faith in God and Christianity was the foundation of her life. She trusted God through every season and inspired those around her through her prayers, kindness and unwavering belief. Her faith gave her strength and brought comfort to her family and friends. Michelle was preceded in death by her daughter, Chelsea Sicard.
She leaves behind her beloved children Oliver Louis, Jayson Sicard and Alex Raphael; grandchildren Gavin Louis and Brianna Louis; siblings: Jacques Ducheine and Yanick Loiseau; and former spouse, Fanfan Sicard, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Among the many treasured memories of Michelle are family gatherings every holiday, dancing, and her deep love for Brianna and Gavin, whom she always cherished and helped through their journey in life. She was dedicated to helping Haitian immigrants with their papers and needs, always putting others before herself. She loved to live and loved her life. Her love created lasting memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Though Michelle is no longer with us in body, her love, faith, compassion, and legacy will continue to guide and inspire future generations. She will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
May Michelle Verite rest in eternal peace and may her memory forever be a blessing to all whose lives she touched.
