Mirlande Vertus was born on April 9th, 1969 to the parents of Ermine and Reneaud Vertus. She was the only daughter amongst her siblings and cherished by her family. From a young age, Mirlande confessed her faith in Christ and was baptized, beginning a lifelong journey of deep spiritual devotion. Her involvement in the church was unwavering - she faithfully attended services, participated in ministries, and lived out her faith through acts of service and kindness.
Mirlande was truly a beautiful soul inside and out. Her warmth, compassion, and genuine care for others drew people to her like a beacon. She had an incredible ability to make everyone around her feel valued, loved, and understood. Mirlande was the truest of friends - loyal, trustworthy, and always there with a listening ear and wise counsel. Her down-to-earth nature allowed her to connect with people from all walks of life. If someone was in need, Mirlande was quick to lend a helping hand, asking nothing in return.
Not only was she a nurturing presence, but Mirlande was also an extraordinarily talented cook. Her dishes, infused with love, brightened many a gathering. People were always eager to attend events where Mirlande would be cooking, knowing they were in for a delicious treat.
In 1995, Mirlande married the love of her life, Robert Saint-Rose. Their union was blessed with three beautiful children - sons Roobens and Jonathan, and daughter Nathanaelle, born in the same month as her mother. Mirlande cherished her role as a mother more than anything. She doted on her children, their wellbeing and happiness her highest priority. Her life was a shining example of unconditional love.
Tragically, Mirlande passed away far too soon on February 16th, 2024 at 10:30am after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Taken from this earth at just 54 years old, her greatest sorrow was not being able to see one of her beloved children married. However, the legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering faith that Mirlande left behind will forever inspire all who knew her. She was a true angel whose beautiful soul will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
