Odeth Roseme was born on May 11, 1961, in Delmas, Haiti. From the very beginning, her life was marked by quiet strength, deep faith, and a heart full of love. She would go on to touch the lives of everyone around her with her kindness, resilience, and devotion to her family and to God.
She later made a home in Orlando, Florida, where she built a life centered on love, faith, and family. Odeth was a loving daughter to the late Emile and Selimaine Osias; beloved wife of the late Joseph Extra Roseme, and together they raised two beautiful daughters, Odeline and Rebecca Roseme, whom she cherished with all her heart. She was a loving and caring grandmother to Serenity Roseme and Zion Roseme. Odeth was one of twelve siblings. She was a caring sister to Leonie Exantus, Anaila Metelus, Violette Cadet, Soeurette Louis. My amazing aunt to her nieces and nephews: Renel Exantus, Bertrand Exantus, Remy Exantus, Junior Metelus, Anderson Metelus, Jean Olgine Metelus, Woodeley Metelus, Jean Philippe Rosé, Jean Gracia Rosé, Eudalan Cadet, Suze Narcisse, Adeline Exantus, Nathalie Exantus, Sinthia Challemagne, Bernina Joseph, Blondyne Estiverne, Lorvely Metelus, Lorsa Metelus, Nagela Clement, Farah Rosé, Darlyna Chery, Therwine Cadet, Fadianie Cadet, France Esther Cadet, Vanerie Cadet, and Pharlande Aurice.
Odeth was a woman of great strength. Though she endured many hardships in life, she never let them harden her spirit. Instead, she remained kind, gentle, and sometimes quietly observant—always thinking of others before herself. Her presence brought peace and comfort to those around her.
She found joy in simple things. She loved singing, especially songs of worship, and often filled her home with melodies that reflected her deep faith. Gardening brought her peace, and she treated her plants with the same care and gentleness she showed to the people she loved. A devoted Christian, Odeth lived a life guided by faith, prayer, and a heart devoted to serving God.
Preceeded in death by her husband Joseph Extra Roseme, Odeth leaves to cherish her memories her children: Odeline Roseme and Rebecca Roseme; her grandchildren: Serenity Roseme, Zion Roseme; her siblings: Leonie Exantus, Anaila Metelus, Violette Cadet, Soeurette Louis; her nephews: Renel Exantus, Bertrand Exantus, Remy Exantus, Junior Metelus, Anderson Metelus, Jean Olgine Metelus, Woodeley Metelus, Jean Philippe Rosé, Jean Gracia Rosé and Eudalan Cadet: her nieces: Suze Narcisse, Adeline Exantus, Nathalie Exantus, Sinthia Challemagne, Bernina Joseph, Blondyne Estiverne, Lorvely Metelus, Lorsa Metelus, Nagela Clement, Farah Rosé,Darlyna Chery, Therwine Cadet, Fadianie Cadet, France Esther Cadet, Vanerie Cadet and Pharlande Aurice.
To those who knew her, Odeth will always be remembered as a kind, sweet woman with a giving soul. Her legacy lives on in the values she passed down, the lives she touched, and the love she gave freely and unconditionally.
She will be missed dearly, but her spirit will remain with us—in the songs we sing, in the flowers that bloom, and in every act of kindness done in her memory.
