Rebecca Francois who was affectionately known as “Kiki” or “Cookie” was born on March 7, 1997, in Brooklyn, New York.
Rebecca was known by friends and family as a gentle, kind-hearted, generous, and loving person, amassing friends wherever she went by virtue of her warmth and compassion.
She was never seized for too long by the pains of her sickness, always finding the courage to embrace a new and hopefully better day. She was everyone’s soft breeze on a bad day — God’s good grace.
Though Rebecca was constantly embattled by sickness, her spiritedness prevailed above all. This was reflected in her compassion for others and in her loyalty and love for God. There was an apparent sweetness in her that some claimed made her “the apple of God’s eye” — what sweet thoughts God must have had when He made her.
Rebecca found joy in drawing, singing, and keeping photographic records of memories shared with family and friends. Additionally, many testified to her unrivaled ability to be of service to others — a true friend to many, if not all. She found helping others to be one of the most rewarding parts of her life.
Rebecca will forever be remembered by all whom she loved, and by all who loved her in return.
