Reverend Jean Sainfilaire Delien was born to the late parentage of Mme Sofize Palmir Pierre and Mr Aine Dalger Delien in Lalanne, a beautiful locality of Jean Rabel, Haiti, on January 10, 1934. As a skilled tailor and independent farmer, Reverend Sainfilaire dedicated his life to serving both his family and his community.
Through his hard work, integrity, and faith, he became a respected role model who positively influenced many young people in the community. On October 10, 1957, he was joined in holy matrimony to the love of his life, the late Mrs. Cedenia Seance. Together they built a strong and loving Christian home and were blessed with eight children: four daughters and four sons: Marietta Delien Joseph, Ismaelite Telfort, Jasmine Desliens, Predithie Desliens Joseph, Georges Desliens, Joseph Dellien, Aram Desliens, and Enoque Desliens. Together they nurtured a family founded on faith, love, hard work, and compassion.
Following the passing of his beloved wife on July 1, 2019, Reverend Jean Delien remained steadfast in his faith and continued to inspire those around him through his wisdom, humility, and devotion to God.
On July 10, 2026, Reverend Jean Sainfilaire Delien was called home to be with the Lord. Although our hearts are filled with sorrow, we celebrate a life well lived and a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations. He will forever be remembered as a devoted servant of God, loving husband, caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather, mentor, and faithful friend.
His life was a testimony of perseverance, generosity, and unwavering faith. His memory will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Until we meet again in God's eternal kingdom, we thank the Lord for the blessing of his remarkable life.
