Robert Laguerre

Robert Laguerre was born to the parentage of Marie Mezina Bastien and the late Dieujuste Laguerre on July 3rd, 1965 in Marmelade, Haiti. “Bertho”, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, completed his primary education at Francois Valmir in Gonaives, Haiti and secondary education at Jean Price Mars in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. In 1989, a new life began as our Heavenly Father guided Robert into making Fort Lauderdale, Florida his permanent home. In 2005, Robert moved to Atlanta, Georgia in search of a better life. In 2017, Robert relocated back to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to be with his family and friends.

As a loving and caring man, Robert married Hermide Edouard. The Lord blessed their union with a handsome son, Alek Bastien Laguerre. Robert was a hardworking husband and father who strived to succeed and who cared deeply for his wife and son. He loved his family and his family loved and cherished him in return. They will always remember him as the devoted, dedicated, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend that he was.

Robert had such a giving heart and a charismatic personality. Throughout his life, he had achieved great things such as an Associate Degree in Computer Programming from Broward Community College. He was always the man you could depend on to help with anything. He loved spending time with his family and friends. The most of all, he loved working and earning what he worked hard for.

On Saturday, November 16th, 2019, Robert “Bertho” Laguerre was called Home to be at peace with the Lord in His Heavenly Realm. We know that he is gone in the flesh, but his spirit lives on in our hearts. He leaves behind a great legacy that must have no ending.
