Roland Cede was born on December 24, 1935, in the small town of Plaisance, Haiti, to his devoted single mother, Maricia Cede.
From a young age, Roland displayed a deep understanding and love for agriculture, working side by side with his mother to support their household. His hard work and dedication quickly made him the cornerstone of the family.
He met and married his first wife, the late Francoise Cede (née Francoise Filemon), with whom he shared a beautiful life and raised ten children, four of whom survive him.
On October 17, 1980, seeking a better life, Roland immigrated to the United States. There, he later met and married his second wife, Marie Vertucia Cede (née Marie Vertucia Supplice), with whom he shared a loving and enduring union until his final moments.
Roland was known as a family man, a hard worker, and a source of wisdom and strength. He was a wonderful husband, a caring father, and a loving grandfather. His life was marked by compassion, integrity, and resilience.
It is with deep sorrow that we accept the passing of Roland Cede, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and pillar of his family and community. After a prolonged illness, Roland peacefully departed this life on June 16, 2025, at North Broward Medical Center. While his absence leaves a profound void, we take comfort in knowing he is now resting in peace with God.
