Sarah Jane Florence Wilson, a devoted mother, loving grandmother, auntie and friend entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026, at the age of 86.
Sarah was born on April 27th, 1940, in Winter Park, Florida, to the late Nancy Walker and the late James Townsend. She was raised in Eatonville, Florida and received her education at Hungerford High School. Sarah’s faith journey began at the age of twelve when she first accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Macedonia MBC many years ago. As life moved forward, she joined Mt. Pleasant MBC in March 2025.
She was formerly married to the late Arthur Lee Wilson, Sr. with whom she shared the blessing of children; although the marriage later ended. They remained connected through their shared love for their children.
Sarah spent over 20 years working in the hospitality industry where she dedicated herself to caring for others with pride and excellence.
She loved and cherished her family and enjoyed spending special time with them.
Her grandchildren were her pride and joy! She was a believer in God, her faith carried her throughout life. She was a kind and giving person who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Two daughters preceded her in death; Hazel Stephens and Brenda Denise Wilson Bryant (Cary). Her memory is left to be cherished by her children ~ Sylvia, Cheryl, Gregory, Pamela, Nancy, Arthur Jr. (Tanya), Richard (Kisha), Terri, Holly, Brenda Lee & Shayla (bonus daughter). Two nieces, Tina & Shryl Whigham. Fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one brother in law, six sisters in law and a host of cousins, friends and extended family.
Mumma, we love you! We thank you! We will carry you with us, always! Your love, strength, and faith will live on through all of us, especially in your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who will forever cherish your memory and the beautiful legacy you leave behind.
Rest well Mumma until we meet again in glory! We take comfort in God’s word, “To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord”. II Corinthians 5:8
