Silvanie Timothee, a devoted mother, sister, family member, and friend passed away on February 8th 2024 at the age of 73. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends as she departed from this world.
Silvanie Timothee affectionately known as “Celavie”, “Vie”, and “Vivi” was a beacon of love, kindness, and compassion throughout her life. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to nurturing and guiding her daughters, leaving a tremendous and undeniable mark on their lives. She will be remembered for her resilience, unwavering support, selfless sacrifice, her love of family, and her amazing sense of humor.
Born on November 15th, 1950, in Saint-Louis-du -Nord, Haiti to Hypolite Lubin and Merancine Timothee. Silvanie shared her childhood with her younger brother and best friend Dieufait Petit-Frere; their bond would continue to grow over the years and would remain unbroken throughout their lives. At the age of 29, she gave birth to her first daughter Cedeline Daniel, and being a mother became her top priority. In hopes of creating a better life for her child, she decided to travel and join her younger brother in Freeport, Bahamaswith hopes of making it to America and one day sending for her daughter, whom she had entrusted with her mother. While in Freeport, at the age of 31, she gave birth to her second daughter CervilleExavier. At the time her brother had traveled to America, and although she loved her child, she made the difficult decision to send her to America for the opportunities that she would receive there. A year later, she was able to make her way to America and reunite with her brother and daughter. For the next several years she worked tirelessly to bring her first daughter to America as well. In 1989, she was able to accomplish her goal and her family was finally united and complete.
In the gentle embrace of her faith, Silvanie found her true calling, dedicating her days to serving God and enriching the lives of those around her. With loving compassion and unwavering devotion, she illuminated every corner of her community with kindness and grace. As she ascends to her heavenly Father, her legacy of love and selflessness remains etched in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Though her earthly journey may have come to a close, her spirit continues to shine brightly, a testament to a life well-lived inservice to others and in joyful communion with her Creator. Her memory will forever live in our hearts, a guiding light for all.
