Vesta Joudan was born on June 10, 1937, in Bidouze, Haiti, to her loving parents, Jourdano and Alida Jourdan. She was raised among a large and close-knit family and was preceded and surrounded by her siblings: Lenord, Alitha, Ydalise, Eunite, Journes, Cesile, Joseph, Lemier, Elise, and Genet Jourdan.
Vesta was a woman of remarkable strength, resilience, and devotion. Throughout her life, she embodied perseverance and selflessness, always placing her family at the center of everything she did. Her love was steady and unconditional, and her presence was a source of guidance and comfort to those around her.
She was blessed with children who deeply loved and cherished her: Raymond, Frisner, Wilman, Jean-Nicole, Marie Carmelle, and Chavanne Pinthierre. Through them, Vesta built a legacy rooted in love, unity, and enduring strength.
Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren. From her daughter Raymond: Benji Charlotin; Claire-Nisha, Bradley Redjy, and Bayla Kisha Charlotin; Edwige Charlotin; Casey Charlotin, Ryan and Mayah Riche; Paul Wency; Cheikh Yazil and Zarina Elora Malbranche; and Gary Destra. From her son Frisner: Shandler Fitzgerald, Jude Savoir, Lesly Jordany, and Jennissa Lila Pinthierre. From her son Wilman: Wilkens, Kenley, Jayden, and Anne Jayna Pinthierre. From her son Jean-Nicole: Gaffney Martina, Jennie, and Louvens Pinthierre. From her daughter Marie-Carmelle Fussaint: Denica Magdaline, Dave Kervens, and Kerby Fussaint. From her son Chavanne Pinthierre: Fara, Charly, Chanderly, and Chadjuensly Pinthierre.
Vesta Joudan passed away on January 8, 2026, surrounded by family who loved her deeply. She never feared death, as she often said she always knew where she was going. Her life was marked by quiet strength, sacrifice, and unwavering love, and her memory will continue to live on through the generations she nurtured and the countless lives she touched.
