Willy Cherenfant, age 66, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Orlando Regional Hospital Willy leaves his wife Leonide S. Cherenfant, daughter Wilnide Cherenfant Lafrance and son Leonel Cherenfant, grand-daughters Ashley R. Lafrance & Jasmine E. Lafrance.

Biography Willy Cherenfant , age 66, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Friday (April 24, 2015) at 6:58 in the morning at Orlando Regional Hospital after a courageous battle of dementia. He was the beloved husband of Leonide Cherenfant. Willy was born in Au Borgne, Haiti in the area of Champagne on November 15, 1948. He was the son of late Hypiastre Cherenfant and late Louisea Valdonice Cherenfant. Willy was baptized March 26, 1960 at the age of 12 by Pasteur Lucien Pierre. Willy went to school in Gros-Morne where he completed elementary school. He later moved to Port-au Prince, and lived in the dormitory of Adventist Seminary Diquini where he completed high school in 1969. Afterwards he studied for two years at Julien Craan Business School where he obtained his bachelor degree in accounting on September 27, 1971. During that time, he was currently working as the assistant director and director for AER department of the Adventist Seminary. After many years of service as assistant and director, he was later promoted as the accountant for the business administration department. In the year 1969, Willy met and dated Leonide Bernadin for five years and they got married in the year 1974. Willy continued to work in the administration office while his wife worked as the secretary in the executive office. Three years later, they had their first child. Willy had several goals in mind that included, providing his family access to more opportunities. Therefore he sent his wife along with their first child to move to Orlando, FL in Sept. 1981. One month later, he came to meet them. Willy endured many challenges, but he persevered because he wanted to provide a better life for his family. Although facing the challenges of learning a new culture and adapting to life in United States, Willy decided to devote more time into furthering God's message. He began with contacting other individuals with the same purpose, to form groups that became identified as churches. Willy was very passionate and dedicated himself for the ministry. He was selfless and always willing to help others. In the end of the year 2003, Willy began to encounter cognitive changes. Although he experienced health challenges, he was very strong. On April 24, 2015 is when he breathed his last breath. He leaves to cherish in his special memories: His Loving Wife: Leonide Cherenfant, and children Wilnide and Leonel Cherenfant, beloved grand-daughters Ashley R. Lafrance and Jasmine E. Lafrance; Brothers: Cedieu, Madius and Wilson Cherenfant; Sisters: Silvia and Victoria Cherenfant; Nephews: Paulson, James, Rony, Lud,Wilfred, Jack and Dieu-Bon Cherenfant; Richard, Reginal, Markenson, Isaiah St-Pierre, Hypolite Etienne, Wilto St-Vil, Gusman Sylvain; Nieces: Lunise and family, Nadine, Gertrude Cesar and family, Whisline Maurice and family, Kettely, Manoushka, Loricia and Margaret; Brothers-in-law: Julien, Archimede and Louis-Jules Bernadin, Ezechiel Dorcil, Cenestor Jean-Baptiste and Monclair Jean-Pierre; Son-in-law : Evens Lafrance; Sisters-in-law: Lormencia Bernadin and Heleine Dorcil Bernadin; Cousin-in law: Pastor Job Fleurimond and Matthew Fleurimond; Families: Saint-Cap, Samson, Bernadin, Fleurimond, Robert, St. Fleur, Lafrance, Registre, Alcime, scorbeth; Uncle: Denis Samson Aunt: Elizabeth Samson. Willy also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends; Also brothers and sisters of the seventh-day Adventist Church; and a host of aunts, cousins and close friends that have been affected by this loss.
