Emmanuel Borieux was born in Saint-Marc, Haiti on April 23, 1943. He was the oldest to Jesula Borieux who preceded him in death on May 18, 2001.
Graduated from the National Technical School, he went on to earn a certification as an auto diesel mechanic, specializing in heavy-duty engines and equipment, notably Caterpillar.
In 1968, he left Saint-Marc to move in the main Capital city, Port au Prince and later became a First Line Technician for Haitian Tractor representing the Caterpillar's brand. And in that capacity, he remained assigned to the Artibonite region, and there maintained his long career repairing heavy-duty farm equipment until he moved to the United States.
In 1975, he finally met the love of his life Glorivienne Lamy, to whom he married a year later.
Of this relationship were born two children: Emmelyne and Henry Daniel Borieux. Glorivienne Lamy, his wife, also preceded him in death in 2001.
Manno generally likes to read at an early age; and these reading activities were his favorite past time. But his passion for book reading could not match his love for Soccer, and when his most admired sport figure was on the tube; the late Brazilian king of Football "Le Roi Pele" as he called him, everything else is toasted out. He passed away peacefully on July 29, 2023, from the adverse effect of kidney failure.
Emmanuel Borieux is survived by his daughter Emmelyne Athouriste - Borieux, his son, Henry-Daniel Borieux, and his grandchildren, Jolyne Elice and Jonathan Rafael Athouriste; his siblings Pastor Mar Rico Borieux, Marie Alice Borieux, Max Vernet Borieux and family, Alix and Denise Sigaraille and family.
His nieces and nephews: Dr. Marc-Yriane Borieux-Brown, Martelli, Moosgar and Marna Borieux and Family; Sameline and Lucine Alexis and family; Chrissie-Mae and Sarah-Jae Borieux.
His sisters-in-law Yves-Rose Borieux and Carine Borieux.
To his friends and many more.
Manno left a legacy of good will that will live on in the mind and hearts of everyone who interacted with him, and we will continue to remember those special moments of joy and camaraderie shared from Normil Charles Street in Saint-Marc, to so much help and support his good soul provided to all of us here in South Florida.
