Erticile Valcin

Erticile Lucienne Valcin (“Mante Cienne”), aged 71, of Orlando Florida, entered into rest on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Orlando Health Regional Medical Center.

Mante Cienne was born in Anse-a-Foleur, Haiti on December 14, 1949, daughter of the late Rose Valcin and Marc Toussaint, and has lived in Orlando for over 35 years. She worked at Walt Disney for 30 years from where she retired in 2016. She is survived by her sisters Anne Mercie Lesperance, Yola Bazile, Anna Valcin, and Ternise Toussaint; her brothers Joel Toussaint, and Joachin Louis; and several nephews and nieces.

A professed member of this present church in Orlando, Mante Cienne also served as a member of the choir. She was a zealous Christian; she loved going to people’s houses to pray with the sick. She enjoyed being involved in Christian ministry in the U.S and her home country, Haiti. Her best attribute was her humanity, her generosity to family and friends. While residing in the U.S., she cared and provided for her family back home. In particular, after when her younger sister Marila Toussaint died in December 2000, she became the principal caretaker of her late sister’s four young children who she shepherded into adulthood.

In 2017, after her recovery from her first bout with cancer, Mante Cienne  went to Haiti on a self-funded mission to minister to the sick and the weary in hospitals and prisons, as well as to visit and assist children  in orphanages. Wherever she set foot, she never missed the opportunity to spread the word God, and to testify how good and faithful the lord has been to her.

Mante Cienne was also known for her fashion sense. She also treated everyone with respect and decency. She was a very disciplined individual, a loyal friend to have in your corner. She was keenly aware of her responsibilities to God, her family, and her community. May she rest in eternal peace and power!
